How To Turn Off Hyper V In Windows 10
question
Disabling Hyper-V on windows 11
Hullo,
I merely installed windows 11, and for some reason there is a hyper-v detected which is preventing me from running some programs. Unfortunately, the process to disable it is different from windows 10 and doesn't work for windows 11. Does anyone know how to disable hyper-5?
I reached out to microsoft for back up, and they basically denied aid, bc they aren't trained to use it notwithstanding....
Cheers!

Unfortunately, the process to disable information technology is different from windows 10 and doesn't work for windows 11
Hello,
The process for Windows 10 volition still work with Windows xi considering here the problem is due to Hyper-V Hypervisor and not directly depend upon operating system. Only one virtualization software can use hardware virtualization extensions on your organisation at a time. Hence, disabling the Hyper-V Hypervisor should besides work with Windows 11. Information technology does not assist.
Hyper-V is not activated in Windows Features, and msinfo32.exe nonetheless shows "Hypervisor detected".

@VrajMistry-8569 I encountered a like issue when trying to install Intel HAXM. My hyper-5 was inactive looking at the windows features, yet organisation info showed "a hypervisor has been detected". The fix was past disabling the Virtual Machine Platform. VM platform was required when I installed wsl. Yet, fifty-fifty with the VM platform disabled, my ubuntu wsl is still working fine.
Hope this help.
This does not work for me - any other suggestions? both are unchecked and all the same get "cannot run under hyper-5". I'm non a programmer or even close so take no idea what this is, but I don't desire information technology and can't get rid of it

I had to disable "Windows Hypervisor Platform" in improver to "Virtual Machine Platform" before the hypervisor was disabled.
Thank you for your mail! I'd been trying to get nested virtualization working for most of the day and this unblocked me.

This worked for me. At starting time I tried to uninstall Hyper-V with no luck. Then I found this and unchecked the Virtual Car Plateform. And It got uninstalled. Then I installed Intel HAXM successfully. Thanks.

In my app (for handicapped people) I rely on a tertiary party component which requires a special license for virtual machines.
It checks for "Hypervisor".
And because of your bug, where msinfo32.exe says that Hypervisor was detected, my app does non work on hundreds of computers.
The third political party component thinks (and it's right considering of Hypervisor is detected by API) that it'due south on a virtual machine, and the license for that is not valid.
Windows xi says that Hypervisor is detected, and y'all give no chance to fix this.
The aforementioned trouble is also blocking me.
The problem is present on all "Windows Surface 7 Pro +" computers which come with Windows 11 pre-installed.
The fact that hyper-v is detected makes information technology impossible for me to use some programs.
I have non constitute any way to disable Hyper-5.
Hyper-V is un-checked in Windows Features, and Virtual Platforms are also unchecked / inactive.
All the same msinfo32.exe reports that "Hyper V is detected".
I am unable to disable Hyper-V.
The problem is that other programs cheque if Hyper-V is enabled or non, and they only work if it is NOT enabled.
I have also tried to activate / install Hyper-5 and Virtual Platforms, and then disable them again, just that didn't alter anything.
The suggestions on how to disable Hyper-V on Windows 10 do not work in this example.
Hello,
I have the same problem and I remember information technology has something to do with the preinstalled version of windows 11.
I recollect we all have the Windows 11 Home edition and we demand the Windows eleven Pro edition. 145 € extra costs.
Information technology is unbelievable that you buy a Surface for 699 € and it has a crippeld Windows 11 Version installed.
I tried all the other options. But cipher works.
This is so sorry. I wanted to buy my kids a computer were they can learn programming. Simply the Lego Boost App is only working on Android or iOS(I should take understood this sign) But I thougt OK, I will install VirtualBox and everything is fine. Maybe it is time to change to iOS (or Android). I take never heard of similar issues.

I have the same problem.
I can not uninstall Hyper-5 on my new "Windows Surface vii +" tablet with Windows xi preinstalled.
Information technology shows the bulletin "a hypervisor has been detected. features required for hyper-5 volition not be displayed".
I have tried any possible solution that I could notice on the internet. Nothing worked.
Every bit @RammHase-0983 and others said that,
"Hyper-V is non activated in Windows Features, and msinfo32.exe and other apps withal shows "Hypervisor or Hyper-V detected", the trouble is Windows Defender use a/some virtualization-based secuirity that makes Hyper-V run/enable silently. You have to disable Memory integrity in Windows Secuirity > Device Secuirity > Core isolation. It worked for me.
Pardon my poor english!
This was the key. Thanks so much!!!

In example zippo else here works for anyone happening across this post, I ended upwards disabling Microsoft Defender Device & Credential Guard and all other virtualization-based security features and information technology worked for me after trying all of the other suggestions showtime (Window11).
There are a number of sketchy tutorials but I used this script:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security/identity-protection/credential-baby-sit/dg-readiness-tool
...with these parameters:
DG_Readiness_Tool_v3.6.ps1 -Disable -AutoReboot
Annotation, you are disabling security features and all that implies. It is non recommended.
