Realistic YouTube cooking channels

Most YouTube cooking channels use equipment/ ingredients/ techniques that the average hobby cook has no access to. Is there a simple, realistic YouTube cooking channel?

If you like Asian food (various kinds), look up Adam Liaw on YouTube.

You'd be amazed at how much equipment you can replace with your hands and you can source the ingredients aswell, the only issue is money

YouTubes use equipment, it's easy and less time consuming and they are sponsored

Don't be discouraged by that

The best channel for you I think is Adam Ragusea

I love Kenji Lopez Alt, quick easy recipes and realistic most of the time. If I they're not he makes it pretty clear.

Jacques pepin at home....

Youtube or his foundation web site. Only a few minutes each. They are great. Even his shows are great but these are exceptional, shot in what appears to be his actual kitchen in his actual house.

Kenji Lopez-Alt is very good too.

Honestly, I can't even think of a channel I watch that isn't realistic but maybe we have different ideas of what we consider accessible. Can you give an example a channel you find unrealistic?

The channels I watch most often are Food Wishes/Chef John, Smokin and grillin wit AB, and Refika's Kitchen. I think Refika is the only one who uses things that are not common around me, but she also shows ways of improvising so it works out.

I second kenji. Foodwishes is good an errs on the side of accessibility rather than "authentic" or fancy.

Seconding Foodwishes. Great channel.

Ethan Chlebowski is solid enough

I love Orsara Recipes, the host is this lively "off the boat" Italian grandpa who's meals are fairly simple, quick, and with heavily overlapping ingredients.

'Nats what I reckon' is the best. Very straightforward and down to earth.

Oh man I forgot about him!! Haha he made the start of quarantine very enjoyable.

Struggle meals! Quick, easy, and simple.

Sortedfood is an amazing and fun channel where chefs and normal guys interact making it super easy to follow. They have an app for home cooks as well (it is under subscription but super worth it)

I just follow recipes and if there is a technique that I'm not sure about then I go looking for a video. The last time was how to cut a beef tenderloin into filets during the pandemic because a meat cutter wasn't available at the time of my purchase. I had to watch it like 5 times but I nailed it.

I really like souped up recipes for Asian dishes, and kitchen sanctuary for like down-home family meals. I am the main cook for a family of 4 here in the north eastern United States, and everything we've made from the kitchen sanctuary we love.

Food Wishes is probably the most consistently educational and accessible YouTube channel.

I started a Youtube cooking/baking channel. It's called "Ann's Tiny Kitchen" and my goal is to make dishes less intimidating and easy to follow so that people will be more willing to get into their kitchen and put together a meal. I make a variety of dishes, as well as desserts. Still a work in progress, but check it out and give me some love and support! Much appreciated. ☺️
